Swift Fire & Security Limited was acquired by Marlowe plc in April 2016
Established by Managing Director, Nigel Jackson, and the two other founders in 1982, the initial focus for Swift Fire & Security was the installation of Intruder Alarms around the Greater Manchester area.
Between 1982 and 1998 our infrastructure developed, complimented by the achievement of our ISO 9001 NSI NACOSS Gold Accreditation.
In 1998, we expanded our range of products and services to include the complementary disciplines of CCTV and Access Control.
A few years later, we further diversified our offering to include the installation and maintenance of electronic Fire Life Safety Solutions, achieving NSI Fire Gold Accreditation in 2005 and establishing ourselves as a fire life safety service provider of choice.
In 2015 we acquired the NSI ARC Gold, CAT II Alarm Receiving Centre, formally owned and operated by ROMEC. This state of the art facility provides our customers with cutting edge, innovative solutions including, remote system maintenance, diagnostics and rectifications.
Our multi discipline approach, commitment to innovation and reputation laid the foundation for our current success as part of the Marlowe plc Group of Companies.
The Marlowe plc Board believes the acquisiton of Swift Fire & Security and Hentland will:
- Significantly expand the scale of Marlowe plc’s fire division, offering synergy benefits and providing additional critical mass and route density in geographical regions that are attractive to the Group
- Materially increase the Group’s customer base and recurring revenues with the addition of large blue-chip organisations to which the Group can cross-sell other services
- Extend Marlowe’s market position to one of the five largest providers of fire protection services in the UK and create an enhanced platform for further buy-and-build activity
