Marlowe Fire & Security awarded LPCB approval for LPS 1197 certification

Marlowe Fire & Security is delighted to announce that our Passive Fire Protection division has been awarded LPCB approval and is now listed in the Red Book Live for LPS 1197 certification: Requirements for LPCB Approval and Listing of Companies Undertaking the Maintenance and Repair of Doorsets, Shutters, Active Smoke/Fire Barriers.

As with any fire protection product, fire doors will only perform properly if they are correctly installed and maintained. Poor installation can mean that an otherwise well-manufactured door fails to provide the required performance in the event of a fire. Similarly, regular inspections and maintenance is imperative to ensure the continued protection of your people and property.

Third Party Certification is the best assurance of quality when looking for a provider to help meet your fire safety requirements. It offers independent verification and evidence that a company is competent and working to the appropriate standards and best practice for the specific service you require.

LPS 1197 certification demonstrates our commitment to high standards and our ability to install, inspect, maintain and repair fire doors in accordance with LPCB standards and helps building owners towards meeting their own obligations under the Regulatory Reform Order (Fire Safety) 2005.

Paul Mather, Managing Director at Marlowe Fire & Security commented:
